Media Manager & Analytics
Cake is a wellness company for the sexually active, helping individuals and couples have more fun in the bedroom. We are now looking for a self motivated and passionate individual to join our quickly growing marketing team as the first member of our in-house media buying team.
This role will be primarily focused on planning, buying and optimizing media along with working closely with Cake’s marketing and media partners / agencies. Experience We are looking for an individual who has 4 - 7 years of experience in running day-to-day media across paid social, paid search, and video / audio streaming.

Media Planning: Helping to allocate budgets across various media channels in order to drive brand awareness and performance
Media Buying: Day-to-day management and manipulation of self serve platforms such as Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, Google, etc.
Retail Buying Tracking & Analytics: Working to implement and track media spend, traffic and sales across retail specific media channels such as Amazon.com & Walmart.com
Media / Creative Recommendations: Help guide the creative team with recommended updates and optimizations to creative (i.e. - X is performing well and we believe it’s because of Y, A is performing poorly so let’s avoid B).
Media Partner Vetting: Shortlisting, reaching out to and negotiating media placements with new channels that Cake has not yet tested (Video streaming, audio streaming, OOH, etc.)
Paid Reporting: Creating detailed reports across media channels and the interaction media / traffic has across sales (including Cake’s DtC Shopify store as well as third party sales channels like affiliate partners)
Organic Tracking & Analytics: Helping track organic and social performance / populating analytics reports across the vertices for which you are responsible.
Best candidates will have/be:
A daily user and aficionado of self-service media platforms
Have a comfort level with working with platform partners (Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok) and media agencies
An analytical approach to documenting results
A detailed management of how best to optimize media and/or creative to increase performance
Ability to partner with our dev team to ensure all media is tracking and reporting correct
Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize responsibilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Self-motivated and a team player
Keen problem-solving, optimization and troubleshooting abilities
All employees work from home until (at least) Sep 2021
Pending COVID developments, we would like this individual to join us in our Los Angeles office (hopefully to be in Spring 2021), however this is not requirement for the right candidate
Director, Growth Marketing
Cake is a wellness company for the sexually active, helping individuals and couples have more fun in the bedroom. We are now looking for a seasoned growth marketer to lead revenue generation across DtC and retail distribution channels.
We are looking for individuals who have 8 - 15 years of experience running growth marketing at omni-channel brands.
Ideal candidates would have Growth Marketing positions at companies like Harry’s, Dollar Shave, Billie, Lola, Cremo, etc.

Growth Expertise. You should have a strong sense of how to enter the Cake team and provide a strategy for month-over-month / quarter-over-quarter / year-over-year growth.
Analytical: You are a fan of looking at, interpreting and actioning detailed data on an ongoing basis in order to optimize marketing performance

Growth Strategy: Ability to write an omnichannel growth strategy from direct personal expertise / success. Keen understanding of specific levers that drive awareness and conversion on day 1 is a requirement.
DtC Ecommerce Expertise: Experience with driving purchases, new customer acquisition, AOV, retention and repeat on Cake’s DtC site.
Retail Expertise: Experience translating DtC brands in-store successfully at scale (note: Cake is currently distributed nationally at Walmart)
Omnichannel budgeting: Lead budgeting and forecasting across distribution channels
Media Partner Vetting: Partner with Cake’s internal media lead and agency partners to help prioritize test and learn approaches in order to scale profitable media
Creative Marketing Strategy: Partner hand-in-hand with the creative team in order to optimize creative assets for performance.
Optimization: Work with the creative and media leads to help oversee the budgeting, platforms and creative optimizations.
Measurement and Analytics: Leading reporting and analytics across marketing budgets and revenues.

Personalized email marketing
Ideally located in Los Angeles, CA although work-from-home is regular part of the work-week and Cake will consider remote candidates should they be the right fit
